Verified Reviewer | San Marcos, CaliforniaOver promised, over charged and never delivered!
I hired Molly Maid of North County to come every other week. When the estimator came we went over the details of how I want our house cleaned every other week.
She even wrote it on the contract I had to sign as this is how she based the bi-weekly cost for them to clean. They required me to have the deep cleaning for the first time which they charge per hour and came out to over $700 for the 1st cleaning. Time comes for the cleaning they missed a lot even on the first cleaning. When the 2nd cleaning came the 3 girls that came to clean our house were huddled in each room talking away rather than cleaning; I guess they never believed in "divide and conquer" nor had time management skills.
I work from home and on a Zoom call constantly they were so loud. They came for about 2 hours for a $274 cleaning charge. They not only had missed a lot of things that were written on the contract even as petty as taking the trash out which should be an automatic thing to do when cleaning they rushed out. You would think 3 maids would be able to do what is in the scope of work written on the contract.
When I called the office their office manager answered, I asked if she read the email I sent her a week ago, and she said she had not read my email yet. She said she'll read it and get back to me. After 5 minutes she called me back and said I read your email, and it seems like we are not the right fit for you. I was trying to explain to her that the email I sent was to remind them to make sure those items are addressed for when they come next time.
She didn't even give me a chance and just flat-out kept on interrupting me and wouldn't even let me get a word or two. The bottom line they took over $700 on the initial cleaning then took another $274 to just do a subpar cleaning and ignored what we talked about. I pointed to her that the contract had stated the scope of work and that's how it was based on how much they would charge me the Manager came back with a very rude, almost yelling attitude to me and said they don't have to follow what is on the contract I was given. I was shocked as what was on the contract was the scope of work and what was the basis of the cost they would charge.
Very frustrated right now. When I tried to call the corporate office no one answered the phone and when I left a voicemail message no one returned my message either.
Do yourselves a favor, save the headache and money, and do not hire this company as they will over-promise and never do the actual work they said they would do. I wish I could rate this company with a negative star, but it is not an option.

Verified ReviewerCleaning was a disaster
I was charged $289 for a first time cleaning. Our laminate floors were left wet and a white film of their cleaning product was left on the floor.
The floors were sticky to walk on. Also, swirl abrasions on the floors. A white film was also on our black stove top. Cobwebs on overhead light, dust in corners.
Hair on bathroom vanity. They wanted to send another crew for a do-over, but we refused. I feel if it can't be done first time, don't want them back. I asked for a refund.
I was told it would be $50. It was $47 because I was charged a $3 convenience fee!!!
I would never use this company again and will file a report to BBB.
Offices involved were from Livonia and Birmingham, MI. Horrible, horrible company.

Verified Reviewer | Pflugerville, TexasI was overcharged for work that was worse than worthless.
My credit card was charged more than $300 for a one-time cleaning. The first time I ever heard or saw that figure was when my credit card was charged; i.e., no estimate given beforehand, no information from the maids.
Of course, I can't get even a partial refund because it's not their "policy" to provide for this. When the maids arrived at the front door, I first showed them the carpet a few feet from there, which had an area of stains about 2' by 4', and told them our top priority was to get rid of it. After they left, about half the area had been left untouched. My second most important request was to leave counters as they were because we wanted to be able to find things where we had left them.
The best I could think of to express this, inasmuch as I am not fluent in Spanish, was to say emphatically, while gesturing parallel to the floor: "Leave everything above floor level just as it is!" They rearranged everything on the kitchen bar and counters and on both bathroom counters and I had to waste almost two hours the next day trying to find the items we regularly use. About a dozen things had disappeared, including body wash, toothpaste, and at least one bottle of medicine. These were all above floor level--on the cabinets, the living room shelves, the showers, etc. I stayed in the office, not wanting to look over their shoulders and kibbitz.
They hadn't told me how long they expected their work to take, and then left without giving me any chance to inspect the work. They left only a negligible part of the area untouched, the way I had requested. Immediately outside my office were scuffs on the tile floor. I pointed them off, but they kept going, and when I called after them "Is it okay with you folks to leave areas on the floor dirty?" One of them loudly called out, over her shoulder, "Your house too beeg."
So, to summarize, they gave me no idea how much money this was going to cost me; they did next to nothing that they were supposed to do and did plenty of things they were not supposed to do.
And then one of them gave me attitude.
It should go without saying that my wife and I absolutely will not waste another penny with Molly Maid. The "work" (a term I use loosely) those two were paid to do was not simply worthless; it was much worse than that.
User's recommendation: Don't pay for any work unless you see an example of it.

Verified Reviewer | Sarasota, FloridaPoor cleaning and no recourse
I hired Molly Maids for a deep clean prior to having company. It was the worse cleaning job I have ever had!
What did they leave dirty? floors, mirrors, sinks, toilets, furniture, counters, etc. I took pictures of the dirt that was not cleaned, sent them to MM, and was told they would come back out and make it good. Unfortunately, I was not going to be home the next two days, and then my company was arriving.
They WOULD NOT give me a refund (I paid them $260 plus I gave the girls a tip--not realizing what they had left undone.) They should be ashamed for not giving me a refund as I had to clean the house myself before my company arrived. I would not recommend MM as they gave me no reasonable option to recover the money I wasted on their service (or lack thereof.)

Orlando Seminole County - Molly Maid
This home is for stroke victim and they mistreatment for customers with disabilities is awful
Worse service EVER!! Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THE COMPANY. I spent $200+ to have my downtown luxury highrise penthouse cleaned and they did not fully clean it at all. Very disturbing!
I immediately called the office to advise, sent proof of multiple photos and was called a liar - the office manager specifically said "My cleaners have been with us a long time and it's hard to believe that those stains were left". I've sent multiple photos and the response is that it is hard to believe. Very unprofessional! The actual Cleaners were unkind and had attitudes the entire time.
I have cancelled my multiple properties from this company. Their behavior is truly unprofessional. They cannot come out and re clean due to they have "other" obligations. So I wasted money on a half clean.
A RIP OFF!!! Do not HIRE them - they will steal your money and won't clean your home and call you a liar. The entire staff is un professional.
I requested to speak with the owner and they cannot contact them until the next day. Unbelievable.
- No support of customers
- Poor response from office management
- High prices

Unable To Actually “Clean” A House
After bragging about how popular she was, and stating outright that she had lots of other houses to clean that day and so couldnt be bothered with the kitchen baseboards, she had a hissy fit. I had asked her to please pull out the under bed storage boxes and vacuum there.
I had told her that at my old house we had been traveling and got bedbugs one time, so I was worried about that. She refused to clean because we had bedbugs, and to call her boss. I called her boss who defended her behavior. She had seen some black stuff behind the headboard.
So I pulled out the headboard and found some dust and a dead water bug. She got hysterical and began to accuse me of verbally abusing her. When I asked her to leave my house, she threatened to call the police. I kept repeating, get out of my house, until she left.
I later found a smear of cat *** which is what she actually saw, and refused to clean up. I wouldve cleaned it up if she had told me the truth. I happen to have a very nervous rescue cat who may have been under the bed and got spooked by the vacuum cleaner.
These young people who clean houses these days never learned how to clean.
Gone are the days of decent house cleaners. I guess theyve never had children so never had to clean up after them when they pooped
